Letter from Thaddeus to Edna - Feb 20, 1894

My dear daughter,
Edna - It has been sometime since I have heard from you direct.
I hear you have spent a pleasant and profitable winter.
I wish now to learn when you expect to return.
The season is very lively now and will be until April -
you could help me much during the month of March and the first two weeks of April
to help to entertain some of my most important friends.
I have strong hopes of interesting sufficient parties to put through the balance of my road.
We are doing a good and moving business now and with a little united family work
such as all here are doing now.  My task will be much heightened.
Leon will soon be in Phileda and will return here soon with Helen and thought it would be
a good time for you to come also, reaching here early in March.
Ida will give you $75 I sent and by letting me know your needs I will send or wire you
what you will need and in travel.
I am sorry that Gussie changed her mind for I would have liked so much to have seen
her and the little ones here for a season.
The Los Angeles bankers headed by Mr. Stinson are getting ready to build a large Club House
near Echo Mountain.  I have been so busy that I have had no time to write anyone this winter.
I hope I will get home & be more social - Mr. Schutz buildings are pretty well up.  I know all
would send love if they knew I was writing - give my love to all, Affectionately your Father
